One morning, the people of Troy woke and saw a huge wooden horse! The wooden horse was standing outside the city gates. | The wooden horse stands on a platform with wheels. Men on horses ride out the city gates to look at it. |
"What is this? How did it get here?" asked the people. "Where did it come from? Is it a gift?" they asked. | A man climbs up a ladder to the top of the wooden horse and waves. |
The wooden horse did not move. Finally, they opened the gates and dragged the wooden horse into the city. | Men and horses use ropes to pull the horse. |
The people walked around the horse. They touched it. They talked about it. It didn't seem to DO anything. | A dog sniffs the horse and barks as the people stand around it. |
The people of Troy did not know why the horse was there. There were men hiding inside the horse! | A man peeks out of a hatch at the bottom of the horse! |
Late at night, when everyone was sleeping, the hidden door of the wooden horse opened. The men came running out! It was a big surprise! | The men climb down a ladder from the hatch and run into the city! |
The men had fooled the people of Troy, thanks to the wooden horse . The End. |
