Retold by Starfall. Illustrated by Xiao-Huan Li. Animated by Jing Lili.
A drawing of a white horse with wings and a long, flowing mane and tail.
"I am so bored!" said a sad boy. "I am bored doing the same things day after day!" he said. The boy tosses a rock behind him, with a dreary look on his face.
A wise man told the boy about a magic horse named Pegasus. The horse had wings and could fly. The wise man and the boy sit by a campfire. An image of Pegasus appears in the smoke.
"Put this golden ring around Pegasus's neck," said the wise man. "Then he will take you wherever you want to go." The wise man hands the golden ring to the boy, then he disappears!
The boy found Pegasus and put the golden ring around Pegasus's neck! Then he jumped onto Pegasus's back and they flew up into the sky. The boy distracts Pegasus with a carrot. He tosses the ring around Pegasus's neck.
They made loops in the sky. "Look at me! I am great! I can fly!" the boy bragged. The boy holds on to the golden ring as they fly through the clouds!
Everyone was tired of the boy's bragging.

"I can fly too!" said a little bug.
The bug flies in circles around Pegasus and the boy.
The little bug wanted to teach the boy a lesson. So the bug stung Pegasus! Pegasus jumped up and the boy fell off. Then Pegasus flew away! After the sting, Pegasus jumps up and drops the boy onto the ground!
Pegasus flew up and up until he got to the stars! On any dark night, look for Pegasus in the sky. YOU might just see him!

The End.
Pegasus flies up above a rainbow and into the stars.
